President Muhammadu Buhari has named the railway complex in Agbor, Delta state after former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Presidential aide Tolu Ogunlesi and the Minister of Transportation,
Rotimi Amaechi made the announcement on Saturday July 18.
Meanwhile The railway complex in Agbor is the centre of operation
which connects the Itakpe-Warri rail line to the Lagos-Calabar coastal railway project,
which also cuts across most states in the south-east and south-south.
Tolu Ogunlesi tweeted;
“BREAKING | President @MBuhari has approved the naming
of the Railway Complex in Agbor –
the operational hub of #ItakpeWarriRail Line –
after former President @GEJonathan.
It will be known as the Goodluck Jonathan Railway Station & Complex —
Minister of Transport, @ChibuikeAmaechi.”
Furthermore Amaechi also tweeted;
Today, we continued test-run of our new coaches
on the completed Itakpe-Warri standard gauge rail line.
We’ve named the largest station on this route – the Agbor railway facility
and station after former President Goodluck Jonathan.
While many Commended President Buhari for this great move, others believes it doesn’t change that fact that the economy is terrible
Recall also that there has been a Cold War between the former president and Buhari
Although not personally, but through their different parties, PDP and APC
While many believe that the Nation flourished more under the Goodluck Jonathan Lead regime
Others say the current state of the Nation was caused by the Jonathan Lead government
