Nicki Minaj’s newly wedded husband, Kenneth Petty has been arrested over failure to register as a sex offender, while moving into the state of california.
As the rule states in the US, any offender, especially sex offenders are to register in their past crimes while moving into a new place, as this helps authorities to regulate the rate of crimes.
Kenneth Petty was jailed in the year 1995 for attempted rape, and he served his time. As at that time, he was just 16yrs old.
According to TMZ, Petty was pulled over by cops last year in beverly hills, and immediately arrested when they found out that he wasn’t registered as a sex offender.
He was released on a $20,000 bail bond, but after his release, Petty was said to not still follow up by going to register.
He was therefore re-arrested on wednesday, March 4th 2020, and his bail was set at $100,000.
Due to this recent arrest, Nicki’s husband won’t be able to travel out of the state, and is banned from using marijuana or any hard drugs, even in cases of health failure.
The case has however been scheduled to resume on the 28th of April this year.
