Kaduna state confirms new cases from Almajiris

Kaduna State government has confirmed 16 new cases of Coronavirus in the state.

Governor Nasir El-rufai in a tweet on Thursday said all patients were almajiris from Kano.

He wrote, “KDSG has confirmed 16 new COVID-19 cases in the state.

“The new cases, all almajiris from Kano, have raised the number of active COVID-19 cases in Kaduna State from 9 to 25.”

Meanwhile, Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 196 cases of the virus.

Confirmed cases in Nigeria now stand at 1728.

In line with the recent deaths recorded in Kano state, the federal government ordered a total lockdown

This Lockdown is to help reduce and contain the spread of the virus within and outside the state
