a shooter opened fire, authorities said.
Shortly after noon, the Highland Park police said it remained an “active incident” and urged people to stay away.

Meanwhile the Chicago police department has now released a photo of the suspected shooter
Police identified 22-year-old Robert ‘Bobby’ E. Crimo III as a person of interest.
They also state that Robert is still heavily armed
and hence people should be mindful and careful
However more than 100 officers are currently searching for the suspect with the help of the FBI and SWAT teams.

Buildings and businesses in the area have also been cleared,
and residents have been told to shelter in place.
