According to JAMB , it revealed that Over 200 candidates sat for the foreign-based unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) .

This annual examination is usually conducted for Nigerians both in the country, outside the country,and citizens of other nationalities who want to study in Nigeria.

he examination was conducted in Ghana, United Kingdom, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Cöte d’Ivoire, South Africa and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The board said the UTME was conducted to give equal opportunity to Nigerians in Diaspora and foreigners who desire to acquire qualitative tertiary education in Nigeria.

This was disclosed in the board’s weekly bulletin released to the media by its Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday, in Abuja.

As the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) prepares to announce the release of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results anytime this week, the examination body has advised candidates to be wary of the activities of fraudsters.

Legacy TV understands that JAMB, in its weekly bulletin, explained in detail what all candidates who sat for the examination should know.

According to the news medium held on Saturday, April 27, Dr Fabian Benjamin,JAMB spokesman hinted that the Board would release the 2019 UTME result anytime this week.

“We are still screening but hopefully, anytime next week, the results will be ready,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria.

JAMB spokesman, wants candidates who seek admission into the higher institutions to “jealously guard their UTME registration number and profile codes to avoid falling victim of the latest scam.”
