Recall that on Friday, November 11, the 28-year-old Buga crooner stated he will be singing at the world cup opening ceremony

in an Instagram post where he shared images of himself and other performers.

However, the Fifa Worldcup opening ceremony held on sunday 20th November 2022,

and fans were confused when Kizz Daniel did not show

The opening ceremony instead gave a visual spectacle to fans across the globe,

with the lead vocalist of the Korean pop band BTS, Jung Kook, lighting up the Al Bayt Stadium with his performance

alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi

Meanwhile, those who thought Kizz Daniel was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony stormed Twitter to react.

Julio Kitoko wrote: “Shey be Davido, Kizz Daniel & Co suppose to perform for the World Cup opening ceremony… wetin come to happen wey we no see them.”

Ajoke wrote: “I thought Kizz Daniel said he’ll be performing at the World Cup?”

“I thought you people said Kizz Daniel and Davido were going to perform at the World Cup open ceremony? What happened?” Steeze asked.

Well, Let us explain it to the fans, Kizz Daniel will indeed perform,

but not at the opening ceremony like the fans expect

There is another concert lined up for the football fans, tagged the FanFestival,

and Kizz has been billed to perform on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022
