Good news for all university student in Lagos state, as the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu
has announced a resumption date for you all
From the 14th of September 2020, all Universities, Polytechnics,
college of education in Lagos state have now been allowd to resume.
The governor disclosed this development during a regular briefing on the state’s COVID-19 status on Saturday, August 29.
During his address, Sanwo-Olu announces that primary and secondary schools
are also tentatively schedule to re-open from September 21.
He further explained that the decision to re-open schools in the state
was based on indications that the pandemic has peaked in the state
as the number of new cases continues to steadily decline.
“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling
and what procedure comes out from the Ministry of Health,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu further reiterates that restaurants are now permittd to open for in-dining services in the state,
although they must continue to ensure spaces are only fill up to 50 percent capacity at all times.
Sanwo-olu also says a review will be in September to decide
whether to allow a re-opening of event centers, bars, night clubs, beaches, cinemas, and other public spaces.
Now with this new development, all that is left is for ASUU to call of their strike and allow student to resume
