Cameroon Becomes 3rd African Country to Confirm Coronavirus Case

As the number of cases of the Coronavirus continue to increase, Cameroon has joined Egypt and Nigeria to become the 3rd African country to confirm the Coronavirus.

The case was confirmed in a 58-year-old French citizen who arrived in the capital Yaounde on February 24 and is currently being quarantined in the city’s Central Hospital.

A statement released by the health ministry reads in part;


“All measures have been taken by the government to contain potential risks of the virus spreading.”

The ministry further urged all Cameroonians to be vigilante and follow all the instructions from the WHO on ways to avoid the spreading of Coronavirus.
