President Mohammedu Buhari has extends his heartfelt condolence towards the families and friends of the late Bishop Lanre Obembe.

The deceased ,the founder of the El shaddai Bible Church, Ikoyi, died on Tuesday, from an undisclosed ailment at the age of 63.

Obembe  was also the former  chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Lagos Chapter.

The president made his feelings known in a statement through his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adeshina on Thursday.

He noted in his statement  that Obembe, devoted many decades of his life to the service of God, and was indeed an inspiration to many young people.

The president believed that the cleric’s footprints would continually be written on the sands of time.

However, he  urged  those who mourned the deceased to be comforted by the fact that Obembe served God with a great zeal.

He went further to add that Obembes labor of love would never go unrewarded.
