Actress Ada Ameh’s Death: Empress Njamah Mourns the Passing of Her Late Bestie!

Veteran Nollywood actress will be greatly missed.

The dark cloud that hovered over the Nollywood Industry on Sunday, July 17, 2022, continued to mystify many as more actors and celebrities mourn the passing of one of their own – the talented Ada Ameh. This time her bestie, Empress Njamah, is the latest to pay tribute to the departed Nollywood icon. 

Actress Empress Njamah posted on her Instagram page some of their memorable moments together. 

Recall that the late Actress Ada Ameh passed on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in a hospital in Warri, Delta state as reported after collapsing at the home of an oil company top-shot where she was a guest. 

The 48-year-old actress had lost her only child in October 2020 and was reported to be battling some form of mental illness. There is speculation regarding the toll her daughter’s death had taken on her, a child she gave birth to at the tender age of 14. 

The lively and boisterous actress will be missed by her family, friends, colleagues, viewers and fans, and ultimately the entertainment industry. 

Ada Ameh rose to fame in the 1996 iconic Nollywood movie Domitila where she played the role of Anita. 

She had a very successful career in the industry, blessing viewers globally with so much charisma and comic relief on the screen and the many memes made off her. 

A native of the Idoma tribe of Benue State, the lively actress Ada Ameh was born in Ajegunle, Lagos Nigeria on the 15th of May, 1974. She was aged 48years. 

Most recently, Ada Ameh is famous for her character Emu Johnson in the award-winning Nigerian television series, The Johnsons, where she featured alongside other talented actors such as Chinedu Ikedieze, Charles Inojie, and many more. 

Some of the movies Ada Ameh had featured in over the years include Domitila, Aki na Ukwa (where she played alongside Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze), Phone Swap, Blood Money, King of Shitta, A Million Baby, My Village People, Mighty Mama, Lockdown, Mr. and Mrs. Okoli, Gone and many more over a successful career spanning 27years.

Ada Ameh will be greatly missed.
