Abba Kyari, Buhari’s Chief of Staff Dies of Covid19

The Chief of staff to President Buhari, ABBA Kyari is dead and is currently being laid to rest.

The COS reportedly died on Friday, 17th April 2020, due to complications from the Novel Coronavirus.

Further Announcing Kyari’s death on Twitter, Presidency spokesman Garba Shehu, wrote;

”The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment.

But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”

”May God accept his soul.

Also Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari,

and Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity,

also confirmed the passing of the former Chief of Staff.

Ahmad tweeted,

“Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Aba Kyari, has died.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings

and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. Allah ya jikan sa”.

Adesina on his part, wrote, “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Aba Kyari, passes on.

May God rest his soul. Amen.

Meanwhile Statesmen, friends and family of the COS today, Saturday 18th of April have bid their final farewell

As Aba Kyari was laid to rest in a shallow grave in Abuja, the country’s capital.
