Thick Fire Incinerates popular Lagos market

It’s been a very unfortunate day for the residents of Katangowa market as fire has engulfed the market located in Agbado/Okeodo local council development area, along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

According to residents of the area, the fire started around 3am, destroying shops and second-hand clothes . Men of the state fire service and officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency have been mobilised to quench the fire A popular second-hand clothes shop in Lagos, Katangowa, has been engulfed by fire on Monday, August 19, with the entire stretch of shops opposite the central mosque in the market destroyed.

The market is located in Agbado/Okeodo local council development area, along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, The Nation reports.
